Transformational Hypnotherapy:

Hypnosis is a state of heightened focus. It is not sleep, and it certainly is not mind control. In fact, effective hypnosis can lead one to connect with and listen to his or her own deep, inner wisdom and longing.

At Embodied Spirit, hypnosis is a useful tool allowing one to get past the everyday chatter and of the conscious mind and begin to uncover their deeper subconscious (and often unconscious) programming. As a result of our family, social and cultural conditioning, we often react to situations and stimuli automatically rather than responding thoughtfully to the situation at hand.  While this works well in the case of healthful habits like brushing our teeth or reactions like pulling our hand back from a hot stove, there are times when looking at our underlying programming is helpful for living life to the fullest.

For example, if every time you get bored, angry, lonely, etc you automatically reach for a cigarette or a cookie, or decide to go shopping, it may be time to take a deeper look at your programming and/or stuck emotions. If you are wanting to move forward in your career, but the next step includes giving presentations and the thought of standing up in front of an audience makes your stomach turn, perhaps there is some past conditioning that it is time to release and transform. Or maybe there is just some deep, unnamed yearning for something more. Your life may or may not have been working up to this point, but you know that it is now time for a change, and desire guidance and support in this process. Hypnosis can help you access the higher wisdom and understanding you need to transform each of these situations and live your life more consciously, joyfully and on purpose.

Hypnosis is a deep, but relatively quick modality for making deep changes.  Most clients begin with a series of 4 or 5 sessions, each about a week apart.  This allows them to make tremendous changes in consciousness in a short period of time. At this point, some people feel complete with their hypnosis experience. Others may want to return on occasion as life moves forward and new issues arise for examination. It is really up to you and your unique situation.

Hypnosis is a safe, effective tool for growth and change. It is a state of heightened focus, a proven modality for getting in touch with one’s deep, inner knowing and wisdom to create deep transformation.
